- There should be some lights on the soundbar. Press the volume up button a couple times to wake the soundbar up and make the buttons appear.
- If the power button on the remote does not work unplug the soundbar's power cord from the wall. It's usually plugged into an outlet directly below the Smartboard. (Smartboards do not have a power cord themselves so one coming out from behind it is almost always the Soundbar above) Leave that unplugged for 15-20 seconds, plug it back in, and then try the remote again and see if the Soundbar lights up.
- Try replacing the batteries in the remote.
2. Check computer is set to the correct audio device
- Click the audio icon in the lower right corner, there should be a drop down list of audio options. the soundbar should either be 'USB PnP Device' or 'Headphones'.
3. Make sure soundbar is on the correct channel
- Start playing something with sound so you will know when the soundbar is connected.
- With the Soundbar turned on, on the remote press the 'Input button' and then press the '+' button several times.
- Continue doing this, Input and then +, pausing after each time for a second, about 7 times to cycle through all the soundbar inputs.
