Start by going to the App Launcher and finding the Recorder app. Click on it to open it up.
You should see a screen like above. To start the recording, click the red button at the bottom of the screen. This will start the recording and it will keep going until you press the red button again and it will stop. Once stopped, click the back arrow in the top left corner to get back to the main screen.
Once back at the home screen, find the recording you want to save, then click the 'Three Dots' button on the right side of the recording block.
You will see a few options, but we only want the middle button, the square with the arrow pointing up. This is the 'Export' button. It will open up a window to save the file somewhere. Select the folder you want the file saved to, give it a name so it's easier to find, and then you have the recording file to do what you need with it!
