How do I access the H Drive or V Drive on my Chrome Laptop / Chromebook?

You CAN access your Windows H Drive (Home Folder), as well as the Shared Drive (V Drive) from a Chrome device!
There are some limitations however:
1) You must use a district-managed device.
2) You must be on-site and connected to Chrome WiFi (or wired internet). You CANNOT access the H and V Drives from home using this method.
3) You will need to login to the shared folder again if you restart your Chromebook.

To get started:

First, sign into your device. Then click the menu button (Circle in the bottom left of the screen):

Now look for the "Files" app, and click it.

A window will open. On the left side you should see this.

"share" refers to the V Drive. "staff" refers to your H Drive

Let's set up your H Drive:
Go ahead and click on "staff" and you'll be asked to login:

Under "Username" enter your full Philomath email address.
Under "Password" enter your Philomath account passsword
(NOTE: Password is NOT optional, despite what it may say here.)

Now the window you see will likely be blank. Go ahead and press the Refresh key on your keyboard. It looks like this:

Once you do, you'll see a single folder, named after your Windows username. That'll look something like this:

Go ahead and click on that folder. This is your H drive. All your files should be accessible!

Now to set up the V drive, in the Files app, we'll click "share" instead of staff.

We will login just like before:

We will hit the refresh button just like before:

Now we see all the V drive folders we have access to:
