Smart Notebook is going away. You’ll want to migrate/convert your .notebook files.
We
recommend converting them into Google Slides (Powerpoint).
This
has to be done from a Windows PC (At least the first part.)
Please watch the video or follow the guide below.
Open your file in Smart Notebook, then click File -> Export As -> Powerpoint… |
Save the file into your Google Drive. The easiest way is just to click on G:/My Drive |
Open the Web Browser (Google Chrome) and go to Google Drive (https://drive.google.com)
It may take a minute, but the Powerpoint you saved should show up here. |
Open it, and you’ll see that it’s a Microsoft Powerpoint, which isn’t totally compatible with Google Slides.
We’ll want to convert it to a Google Doc.
Click File -> Save as Google Slides |
Now you’ll see a new file (Left) that is 100% compatible with Google Slides. Open it.
You’ll notice the layout is a little weird. It’s portrait instead of Landscape. |
Click File -> Page Setup |
Change to Widescreen 16:9, then click Apply |
Some things may be incorrectly sized, or spaced. Go through and fix anything that doesn’t look correct.
Go ahead and delete the old powerpoint file once the new one looks correct. |
