How do I move SMART Notebook files to Google Slides?

Smart Notebook is going away. You’ll want to migrate/convert your .notebook files.

We recommend converting them into Google Slides (Powerpoint).
This has to be done from a Windows PC (At least the first part.)

Open your file in Smart Notebook, then click File -> Export As -> Powerpoint…

Save the file into your Google Drive. The easiest way is just to click on G:/My Drive

The rest of the process does NOT have to be done on a Windows computer.

It can be done on a Chrome Laptop.

Open the Web Browser (Google Chrome) and go to Google Drive (https://drive.google.com)

It may take a minute, but the Powerpoint you saved should show up here.

Now we'll follow the guide for converting Microsoft files to Google files:
With the Microsoft file open, click File -> Save As Google...

You'll briefly see this message:

Your new Google Format file will open up, and you'll see a message confirming.
You can either delete the original file, or hold onto it for safekeeping.

You’ll notice the layout is a little weird. It’s portrait instead of Landscape.

Click File -> Page Setup

Change to Widescreen 16:9, then click Apply

Some things may be incorrectly sized, or spaced. Go through and fix anything that doesn’t look correct.
